A brief introduction to Hugs Children’s Cancer Charity
The charity was set up by the Hallam family after their son Henry was diagnosed with cancer at just 3 years old.
The cancer Henry was diagnosed with is called Neuroblastoma, a nervous system cancer which spreads rapidly and is difficult to treat. The main priorities for the charity are to provide emotional support to families, so no one feels they are battling alone.
We help families,
through a difficult time
Henry's mum, Elsbeth, states: 'Hugs from Henry was born out of the pain we felt and the most urgent need to help others in these circumstances.'
Introducing the Hugs Children’s Cancer Charity Wellness Hub
At Hugs Children’s Cancer Charity, we understand that the journey through childhood cancer is not just a physical battle; it also profoundly impacts emotional and mental well-being. That’s why we are excited to announce the launch of our new Wellness Hub, a dedicated space designed to provide essential support and resources for children and their families facing this challenging journey.

Some kind words from families we’ve worked with…
“Hugs Children’s Cancer Charity gave our family the opportunity to have a weekend holiday to Cornwall, where we could all recuperate and start the process of mending ourselves as a family unit. We came back revitalised, now our children have defining memories of their yearly trips. It is incredibly important that families have this time and we hope with the support from the public that Hugs are able to continue their fantastic support for children with Cancer.”

“In Feb 2016, Hugs Children’s Cancer Charity gave me lots of TLC and emotional support when my daughter relapsed with Neuroblastoma. The lovely Elsbeth and Nee was at the end of the phone to give me invaluable comfort, support, and advice when I needed it, and has remained a great friend to me ever since. An amazing charity that absolutely rocks!”
