We are excited to announce the grand opening of our new charity shop in Devonport, helping us to raise funds for families affected by childhood cancer in our care.
The new charity shop aims to provide vital financial support and resources to families navigating the challenges of childhood cancer. Every purchase made in our shop will directly contribute to funding essential services such as respite, emotional support, and practical assistance for families during their toughest times.
Our shop offers a diverse selection of items, including clothing, toys, books, and household goods. Dresses start at £1, while tops are £2, childrens bundles of clothing and a fantastic selection of books 50p or 3 for £1.
Our Devonport unit is our third charity shop and we are incredibly proud of the unique shopping experience we provide across our shops. With the Broadway being a hub in the community, while our donation unit at the Sugar Mill popular for furniture and larger items.
We invite the community to donate items to help us create a vibrant shopping experience while making a positive impact. Your contributions will help us stock the shelves and extend our reach to more families in need. Our main donation hub at the Sugar Mill retail park remains our main drop off point for donations and we continue to provide house clearances and a delivery service.
Hugs is passionate about recycling and with the opening of this shop on Phelps road in Devonport we continue to drive our message further.
Charity shops play a significant role in sustainable fashion by providing a platform for second had clothing but also in our case a place to recycle metals, books, linens and various bric and brac. Our shop fosters a more responsible approach to shopping, encouraging a cicular economy and reducing the environmental impact on fast fashion.
As well as being an important part of the community our shops are there to raise vital funds for our charity.
At Hugs Childrens Cancer charity, we believe that no family should face the challenges of childhood cancer alone. Our goal is to foster a supportive community where families can find hope and assistance during difficult times.
