At Hugs Children’s Cancer Charity, we understand that the journey through childhood cancer is not just a physical battle; it also profoundly impacts emotional and mental well-being. That’s why we are excited to announce the launch of our new Wellness Hub, a dedicated space designed to provide essential support and resources for children and their families facing this challenging journey.
One-to-One Counselling Services
Our Wellness Hub will feature personalised one-to-one counselling services tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family. Our trained professionals will give cancer support, offering a safe and nurturing environment for children to express their feelings, fears, and hopes. These sessions aim to empower young patients, helping them to navigate their emotions and build resilience during their treatment and beyond. The counselling sessions will provide parents and carers a place to turn too and a person to talk too.
Peer-to-Peer Support Groups
In addition to individual counselling, the Wellness Hub will host peer-to-peer support groups. These groups provide a vital opportunity for children and families to connect with others who share similar experiences. Here, they can share stories, challenges, and coping strategies, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Through these connections, participants can find comfort and encouragement, reminding them that they are not alone in their journey.
