We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as one of the official charity partners for this year’s Plymouth Santa Fun Run.
The event is led by Saltram Rotary Club in partnership with Plymouth Waterfront Partnership and has become a well-established fixture in the city’s festive calendar, bringing together participants from across the community to raise funds for local causes.
For this year’s event, Hugs will be working alongside Shekinah Mission Plymouth, supporting two charities that provide vital services within the local community.
Planning is underway
Initial planning for the event is already in progress, with representatives from all organisations coming together for the first meeting to begin shaping this year’s run.
The session was both productive and encouraging, with a strong sense of collaboration and a shared ambition to build on the success of previous years. A number of ideas were discussed, all focused on enhancing the experience for participants and increasing the impact of the event.
Supporting families across the region
Funds raised through the Santa Fun Run will directly support the work of Hugs Children’s Cancer Charity, helping us continue to provide practical and emotional support to children with cancer and their families across Devon and Cornwall.
Community fundraising events such as this play an important role in enabling charities to maintain and develop their services, while also raising awareness of the support available.
