Hugs named as Plymouth Law Society Charity Partner

We’re delighted to share that Hugs has been selected as one of Plymouth Law Society President Chris Hoile’s chosen charity partners for his year in office.

The announcement marks the beginning of a special partnership with Plymouth Law Society, with fundraising support planned throughout the year through events, sponsorship opportunities and the Society’s annual dinner.

Jemma Jones, Head of Fundraising at Hugs, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to have been selected as one of Plymouth Law Society’s Charity Partners. The funds raised throughout the partnership will make a real difference to local families, helping us provide practical, emotional and financial support when it is needed most, to children with cancer and their families across Devon and Cornwall. We are looking forward to working together over the coming year and building what we hope will be a fantastic partnership.”

Plymouth Law Society President Chris Hoile also shared his support for Hugs and the important role charities play during his year as President.

“Taking on the role of President is a genuine honour, not just because you’re able to play an important role in the shaping of the region’s legal sector, but because you’re also able to help charities while you’re in the position. For me, Hugs is a perfect fit for Plymouth Law Society because it is based in the city and does amazing work supporting younger people.”

This support will help us continue to stand alongside children with cancer and their families across Devon and Cornwall, offering care, comfort and practical help through some of the most difficult times imaginable.

A heartfelt thank you to Chris Hoile, Plymouth Law Society and its members for choosing to support us this year. We are incredibly grateful and look forward to working together over the months ahead.
